Why is there never time for blogging anymore? Oh, how I miss it! Caring for 4 little, munchkin-ettes round the clock, with a VERY busy, often gone, husband (gotta love P.A. school--he is at the top of his class however, which is nothing to shake a stick at) leaves little, to no, time for my favorite things ("rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens", etc). Blogging, most definitely, is on that list for me. One of these days I think I'll re-write that song for modern days, maybe I'll even have two versions: a kid-version and an adult, mommy-version. We'll see. It all comes down to time, or the lack thereof of it.
Before little Abby arrived--oh wait, my blogging audience doesn't know about her yet. Opps, I ruined the surprise, darn it. Oh well, now that the cat's out of the bag, daughter #4 decided to join the fam on March 13th of this year. We named her Abigail Ruth and she's truly becoming quite a little good-natured sweetheart. She wasn't that way when she first came out, it took a couple of months for her to get used to her new little body, but now she's quite delightful. She just turned 4 months old on Tuesday of this week, and has all the grins and giggles to show it. Here are a couple of pictures of her in her newborn IPAP (Interservice Physician's Assistant Program) onesie--frustratingly, I can't get them to post right below this paragraph, so instead you see them at the top of this blog (which is silly to even bother telling you, 'cause you've already seen them by now, but I wanted you to understand my formatting troubles--I'm sure you've all been there. Blogger is great, but far from perfect). I figured I better take a couple before she completely grew out of it--if you can't tell, it's a little snug already. I have tons more adorable pictures of her, but they'll have to wait for another blog, another day.
Life here is busy, busy, busy. It seems lately like we can't get a break from illness or doctors appointments and it all just makes me tired. Summertime is supposed to be about relaxing and enjoying the sunshine, but since I became a mom, particularly a mom of 3, and now 4, those days truly transformed into busily moving from one task to the next, trying desperately to stay above the grind. Home and child maintenance take up a significant portion of my days now. Believe me, we still have fun and make wonderful memories together, it's just that now we do it while working. My kids seem to be having a fairly splendid summer, minus the illnesses, which I think are mostly behind us now (except my current cold). I've taken some great pictures of their summer fun that I'll have to post soon, but I'm not quite sure when I'll have the time. The doctor, dental, etc. appointments still fill our days and the BIG MOVE back to Clarksville, Tennessee (Fort Campbell, Kentucky) is just around the corner, at exactly 3 weeks from today. Then, the girls start school at Barkers Mill Elementary (Sarah--1st grade, and Rebekah--Kindergarten) that following Tuesday on August 10th. So life is busy, busy, busy, and a bit too stressful for my taste these days, but I'm hoping to catch a break (at least from illness) in the near future.
Well, I'm going to leave you all for now, even though my stronger desire is to keep blogging (for I so desperately want to catch up and post pictures from the past YEAR--can y'all believe it's been that long?), but responsibilities are calling and dentists don't like to wait. So good bye for now...'till next time.
Yours,
Julia

It is great to see you return to blogging, but I know it is a pain to keep up with 4 kids as well! I loved Barkers Mill and the staff was so great, so good luck and hoepfully your girls will love it as much as my kids did!
Your baby is beautiful! Can't wait to hear the updates.
Great to hear what you're up to! I can't imagine life with four girls...at least you have the consolation that they're all beautiful, even if they make you super busy. Good luck with everything!
You're coming back!! We have to get together!
L A U R A: I'm glad to know that your kids like Barkers Mill. It seems like a pretty great Elementary school, but you never know--it's usually the individual teachers that make or break the grade.
S H E L L Y: yep! We're coming back to good ol' Tennessee! I would LOVE to trek up your way sometime and maybe pop over to Nauvoo. It's been far to long since we've visited that fabulous town and I still have yet to meet those busy little twins of yours.
And THANK YOU to all the rest! :*)
